A little about me …

Hi, I am Elizabeth. I am a young artist who creates whimsical animal artwork. My two cats, Eclipse and Misty, inspire me every day. I have dyslexia, my own mental health issues, and I am a carer to members of my family. This allows me to be understanding of others as well as visually creative, escaping into my art. I love Disney and Studio Ghibli, which have inspired me throughout my art journey. I care deeply about animals, so I strive to be environmentally friendly in every way possible. I hope you will join me in my art and business journey.

Elizabeth - The artist behind the brand

Hi, I am Elizabeth, the artist and business owner. Instead of the typical long story, I'm going to break down who I am in easy parts, as being dyslexic, I understand people can struggle to read long text.

Name: Elizabeth

Nickname: Liz

Loves: art, my cats, my family, animals, romance, Disney, fantasy, fairytales, Studio Ghibli and many more

Interests: Creating artwork and being creative are one of my main interests and often become a part of other things I do. I enjoy video games such as Animal Crossing and Ni No Kuni, as I like to take inspiration from their artwork and storytelling. TV and film are also some of my favourite ways to spend my time. I love both Studio Ghibli and Disney films due to their beautiful animation, which helps inspire and motivate me. Caring for, playing with and drawing my Cats - Eclipse and Misty, is also one of the things I enjoy the most, as I find it very rewarding. They give me so much love & affection, which gives me the enthusiasm to explore different aspects of my art.

Background: Art is a passion I've had all my life. I have always loved drawing and creating. I love turning a blank sheet of paper into a piece of art with a story and feeling behind it. Becoming an artist and selling my work has been my dream job for a long time. Animals have also always been an important part of my life, as throughout my life I have had many pets, including cats, dogs, hamsters, rats, rabbits and more. These pets have helped me many times when I have been struggling with my mental health, making them very special to me. Being creative has allowed me to express myself and further show my love of animals. As someone with dyslexia, I have always struggled with academic and written work; however, visual and creative things have always come naturally to me.

My Business: ArtTails by Liz is a small business where you can find animal art (created by me) printed on a variety of gifts, original artwork and commissions perfect for any animal lover. My artwork is hand-drawn, with each piece having a unique story behind its creation. I am a UK-based artist and illustrator. I specialise in capturing the charm of animals using watercolours and alcohol markers. My creations are full of personality and playful imagination, blending soft, vibrant colours with enchanting details. From woodland creatures to furry friends, each piece reflects a love for storytelling through the beauty of wildlife. Discover a range of handmade products featuring my artwork, designed to bring a touch of nature’s magic into your everyday life. Due to my love of animals, I try to make my products and packaging as eco-friendly as possible. I can also do commissions of your own furry friends. I also do live illustrations for weddings.
